Flagship course

Path Signal Lab

Learn Conversion Path Analytics as a craft: instrument cleanly, model steps honestly, and argue for fixes that change completion — not just charts.

Collaborators reviewing data on screens

Learning outcomes

  • Draft a step taxonomy that matches how buyers move in your product, not your org chart.
  • Audit event streams for duplicates, missing properties, and fake conversion spikes.
  • Build gravity maps that highlight eject points between orient and commit.
  • Present path findings to non-analyst stakeholders in under twelve minutes.
  • Apply a Thailand payment and logistics overlay when local friction differs from global templates.

Modules

  1. Path vocabulary before tools

Define land, orient, commit, and pay in language your team already uses.

  2. Instrumentation honesty

Trace a single user through tags; mark every place the story breaks.

  3. Cohort cuts that matter

Separate first-time and returning paths without drowning in segments.

  4. Gravity and eject maps

Visual critique of where attention leaks between screens.

  5. Experiment hooks on the path

Pick one step to intervene; write a falsifiable expectation.

  6. Narrative for leadership

Frame trade-offs without inflating confidence intervals.

  7. Thailand field overlay

Payment method mix, delivery promises, and support chat as path nodes.

  8. Capstone critique

Live review of your annotated path with instructor notes.

FAQ

Do I need a specific analytics suite?

No. The Lab is tool-agnostic. We use exports and screenshots so concepts transfer across stacks.

Is this only for e-commerce?

Most examples come from commerce and SaaS, but the path model applies to lead gen and bookings too.

What is a real limitation of this course?

We do not teach full data-engineering pipelines. If your events never arrive in a warehouse, Path Signal Lab will not fix that plumbing — you will still need engineering time outside the cohort.

Can my whole product trio join?

Yes. Team seating is easier through Full Socket access; see pricing, then contact us.

Reviews from Lab alumni

Module seven’s Thailand overlay forced us to treat PromptPay as its own path branch. That single change explained a week of “mystery” drop-off we had blamed on page speed.

★★★★★ — Capstone critique was blunt in a useful way. I still redraw my gravity map every sprint.
