Metrics

Path metrics that survive a skeptical CFO

Hands writing metrics in a notebook

Finance leaders do not need another “engagement score.” They need Conversion Path Analytics metrics that explain money movement with humble confidence.

Step-completion by entry cohort

Report the share of a defined cohort that reaches each named step within a decision window. Keep the cohort definition sticky for a quarter so trends mean something.

Time-to-commit

Median hours from first meaningful orient event to first commit signal. Useful when you change onboarding density. Pair it with a completion rate so faster is not confused with better.

Recovered exits

Count users who left a step, received a deliberate intervention, and returned to complete within the window. This metric keeps CRM and product honest about whether nudges repair the path or merely spam it.

Avoid stacking ten vanity tiles beside these three. Clarity beats coverage when the room is skeptical.
